ChopHouse Thirteen has been a tradition of excellence in Jacksonville under the name The Tree Steakhouse since 1969. We appreciate all the customers who have been a part of our evolution for the past 50 years. ChopHouse Thirteen changed its name and received a new modern look in May of 2019 to take our dining experience to the next level.
Our new name pays tribute to our location at 11362 San Jose Blvd. (State Road 13). ChopHouse Thirteen is committed to excellent food and quality service, but most of all, has maintained the same beloved staff and management. The staff prides itself on providing the best steaks and service, always striving to uphold the restaurant’s position as an award-winning Jacksonville favorite.
We serve 100% certified black angus cuts of beef, fresh seafood, in-house prepared sides, and have a conditioned wine room with a diverse selection of wine for any palate.
Dress Code
The dress code for ChopHouse Thirteen is smart casual. We request that our guests do not wear slippers of any kind, do not wear tank tops, and we require all men's shirts to have sleeves. We appreciate all our guests and ask that everyone wears appropriate attire.

JOE FOSTER
Managing Partner / Executive Chef
Beginning his career in 1988 at The Tree Steakhouse in Mandarin, Joe helped put the finishing touches on the final construction as a Tree Steakhouse Employee, and then continued as a dishwasher and busboy. Joe immediately knew he wanted to develop a career in the culinary field and after many years working in a variety of restaurants, he decided to fulfill his dream of attending culinary school in New York. Joe graduated in 2002 from the Culinary Institute of America in a class that included some of the premier chefs of today, including competitors on Top Chef and Iron Chef. After graduation, Joe spent the next years developing his culinary skills in New York, Asheville/Highlands North Carolina , Chicago, Milwaukee, Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach.
NICK FARRELL
General Manager
Nick Farrell has been a Florida resident for most of his life and moved to Jacksonville in 2002. His restaurant experience includes over two decades in fine dining and over 16 years specifically in the steakhouse business. He joined the team as Manager in 2018.
